As promised, here is the review of our stay at the ME London Hotel in May 2014. This was our favorite hotel during our European adventure, and we highly recommend it to others.
Very clean, big area, private balcony, AMAZING SHOWER!
Very helpful, fast, and accommodating.
GREAT for traveling young people.
We got a great deal on Travelocity Top Secret Hotels, especially with the little upgrade from the check in counter!
We would love to!
ME London Hotel Review:
As I have mentioned in my “How To: 48 hours in London” blog, our room at the ME London was top notch. The friendly guy at the front desk assured us that he would make sure we are on a high floor and that we would love our room. He was right. The room had a private balcony, breathtaking views, the best shower room of my life, and awesome mood lighting. For more tips on how to ask for upgrades, check out my hotel room hacks blog.
The service was wonderful, not only were we pampered with doormen who took our suitcases, but upon check in we were served complimentary champagne. We took our champagne straight up to our private balcony and relaxed after our commute. The front door guy got to know us, and he was full of tips for things to do. He suggested the roof top happy hour at the Radio Rooftop Bar, where had even better views of London while enjoying drink specials. I wish we would have stayed in London longer to stay at this hotel.
The location was also perfect. We walked to the British Museum (and plenty of pubs on the way), went out in Convent Garden, took the subway to the airport, and had the big bus tour stop right outside the door. We were never bored of things to do, and our central location made our sightseeing that much easier. Plus the atmosphere around the hotel was artistic, fun, and lively.
The hotel was equipped with all of the modern necessities for a great trip including a gym, restaurants, in-room music entertainment, and any last minute items were a call away at the front desk. One of my best travel tips is to not interrupt your daily routine when traveling. So those of you that are like me and need a little gym time to unwind (or to feel less guilty about eating fish and chips every day for a week), get up in the morning and start your day with a workout. Continuing routines helps with jet lag, and makes you feel more comfortable on the go, and ME London is very accommodating to these needs.
Overall, this hotel is great, especially for young traveling couples that appreciate using amenities and want a central location in London. I cannot express enough how great the service was, and how comfortable our stay was.
